About Me
My goal is simple: to be a little healthier every day.
I embrace being a work in progress, not perfection. And I hope to inspire others to do the same. Together, we can navigate life’s challenges, calm the nervous system, and move toward the changes that bring peace and fulfillment.
My Story
Hello! I’m a mother of two amazing adult children and have been fortunate to build a life centered on creativity and connection. For 33 years, I’ve worked as a hairdresser, and for 14 years, I’ve pursued my passion as a photographer. Creativity is at the heart of who I am—it calls to me when I neglect it for too long. But more than anything, my heart’s deepest desire is to love others and, in return, to be loved. These moments of connection shine brightest when I’m able to walk alongside others on their unique journeys.
This journey of supporting others started with my own struggles. Like many, I battled with overthinking, overdoing, and overplanning—pushing myself to the point of overwhelm. Anxiety began to take hold, affecting every aspect of my life, and I felt the physical and emotional toll of my choices. Seeking help, I turned to talk therapy, which opened the door to greater self-awareness and new perspectives. However, despite my growing understanding, I often felt stuck—aware of the changes I wanted to make but unable to move forward.
That’s when I discovered somatic therapy, and it transformed my life. I began to learn how our nervous system and brain work together, and how our body protects us through survival responses like fight, flight, or freeze. I realized these responses, while protective, were no longer serving me in the ways I needed.
The missing link for me was understanding how to calm my nervous system. Simple yet powerful practices like grounding, breathwork, tapping, body scans, and meditation helped me process emotions that had been stuck in my body. As I applied these techniques, I began to unlock a sense of freedom and grace. For the first time, I was not only learning but applying change in meaningful ways.
Over time, I found myself living with more peace, balance, and understanding—both for myself and those around me. I began to notice how much my 33 years of working with people as a hairdresser had prepared me for this chapter, teaching me how to listen deeply and connect authentically.
Now, three years into my somatic therapy journey, I hold a Trauma Therapy Practitioner’s Certificate and a Breakthrough Life Coach Certificate. I integrate these modalities with talk therapy to guide and support others on their paths toward freedom and growth.
